Life insurance, IRA's, and CD's are not filed through the estate; therefore, they are not sent through the courts. My husband and I are trying to find out what intangible property his father had when he passed on. Since his oldest sister was not only a benficiary, but also an executrix of the will, among past experience, we don't know that she distributed property evenly as was dictated in the will.

I own a house, my son lives in, I rent nearer to my job. I want to sell him my house, his credit is fair. I have owned the house since 1985, refianced in 1995. Pay off is about 40,000.00. I want to get as much as possible for the house without putting them in a bind. 'The house needs some work, maybe about 8000.00. for a new ac and flooring and outside boards. Should I fix it up first to get a higher appraisal, sell it cheaper and let him get full loan and fix it himself? What should I do? I want to buy closer to work and need the equity and to get this out of my name.

I have Cerebral Palsy I bought my home for cash. Then, my friend asked me to put it in his name so he could take out a loan to pay his bills. I did. Now he wont contact me or answer my calls. I fear he is going to sell my home and take the money. Where would I go in a wheelchair with two cats and only $377 a month? Do I have a legal leg to stand on? I hope a lawyer reads this.

This is a very broad question and I would appreciate it if anyone can help me.

I'm currently unemployed and I decided to get a list of the companies that vacant some of the well-known NYC buildings, such as the Citigroup building, GE building, and MetLife building to name a few. I been on google and tried to find an answer but I'm getting nothing. Is there a way I can obtain information, like a directoy of the different companies located in these buildings, through a website?

Thanks. I want to use this information to check out the company's history and current career opportunities. I majored in business if that will help.

i have a 4 year business marketing degree and find it very difficult to find a good paying job. i work as a CSR rep and make diddly squat. Maybe its my area as i am in buffalo,ny. Anyone in other states where the workforce is good and pay is strong, because it sure is not upstate, ny.
Its a catch 22, realestate prices are reasonable but jobs are scarce and taxes are high. Does any one have any reccomendations on where in the U.S. there are average price homes, with good paying jobs? Good pay I'm refffering to at least $13/15 an hour.

I will be applying for a very competative internship next year. The application won't be available until early next summer. Although I do have qualifications, I might not be the most qualified amongst hundreds of applicants. So, how do I make myself stand out? There is only 1 position available, the internship is for 1 year, and it is in Alaska.

Tell me what you think of this:

I was thinking of sending them a letter expressing my interest in their program in either November or December. I would include my resume with the letter. I also thought that I could send another letter in Spring saying that I was still interested and eager to apply. The second letter would be much shorter. Then, if granted an interview in late summer, I would send a card/letter thanking them for their consideration. So.. is sending two letters overkill? Will it make me look desperate?

Also.. does sending a picture with my application look unprofessional, or could it be helpful?

Any thoughts? Thanks!

Unico is a mineral mining company whos revenue has been on the slide in the past couple of years. Hence there falling stock price. But at .014 a share, it looks pretty appealing considering there new plans to expand there drilling and invest into there corporation. Management has shown a pattern in the last few months of buying up there own stock, should a young investor like myself be interested? Even if it goes up to a quarter, that could give thousands of dollars on only a $100 investment. I think that risk is worth $100.

Received a bill for an additional $106, agent said the mortgage company failed to pay entire premium. But amount paid matched the amount of the renewal letter I had received. Person in office asked what was I doing with my bill. So I called the company and they just said the agent changed something and they couldn't tell what. I said this is like getting groceries, and the store calls after you get home and tells you they can charge your CC additional for your groceries!!!!
