Hi, im looking to invest money, currently I have a savings account that gives me 3.6% interest monthly. Im going to build it to around 5k and then invest. Looking for something similar to a savings account with monthly interest higher than what I currently have. Anyone have any suggestings on what I want to invest in? Looking for something that will build long term.

please someone walk me through this.....
i deposit $1000 in to a cd at 5.1% intrest on the first of the month.at the end of the month i will have$1050 (about?)on the first of the next month i deposit another $1000, so i have2050. at the end of that month ill have2100. i deposit another 1000 for a total of 3100.....do i have the right idea? are my numbers right? i want to get into cd's and this is what i see happening for a year.please correct me if i am wrong! i fi keep up at this rate $1000/mo@5.1% how much will i end up with?

We live on private property and have about 6 acre's, our neighbors built up thier yard with more than 100 truckloads of dirt and added a hill so put in a built in swimming pool. Our yard floods so bad, we added roughly 20 truckloads of dirt for a cost of $7,000 or so. He changed the flow of water so that all of his water dumps into our yard, which he refuses to fix...we can't build ours up because then we will dump water on our neighbor? Should we sue?

I want to buy a very small cute home in Texas. Its listed at 65,000! Its been on the market for nearly 2 months! How long can this go on? What happens when they just dont sell?

..I cannot purchase the home because we don't have the money to put down. We will have it in December... but I doubt the house will be on the market that long. *sniff*

I know there are many factors, but I am now being forced to look at a new job because of this wonderful economy in Michigan. I have only worked at one place my whole career (14 years) and have gotten a lot of perks (car, gas card, etc)
Since I have been sheltered in this one postition I am not sure what the world in general pays salary-wise.
I was told to put my salary requirements on my resume but I don't want to over price myself looking for jobs in a certain sector that just don't pay that.

My work is throwing a halloween contest and my department has decited to go with a pirate theme. We already have a treasure chest, pirate in a cage, flags, skulls, gold coins, a mini canon and talking pirate skull... but i feel like we need to get something else... something to hang up.
