I would create a website that you'll know would interest people, a source for your favorite band, or keeping people know about the latest web tools for their own websites.
You can add popup's to your site to generate money.

in USA most unemployment Edd offices have listings and a head hunter and the school that sold you all that training should help locate options.
also the federal jobs books in reference at the library have many listed options.
