I would go to Hallmark and get a card, then put in a hand written thank you note just to thank them for their time and let them know you are still interested in the position. Do it right away so that you stand out. Remind them when you had your interview (date and time). This will put you ahead of other candidates. If you can afford it, I would do next day guarantee (usually costs about $15) but if you can't, that is fine as it usually only takes about 2-3 days to get there. Make sure you put your interviewees name on the envelope so it just doesn't go to the company in general. Good luck!!

Handwritten................this should always be hand written. Email is okay to submit a resume but not to 'Thank them' for there time. Do this immediately following an interview before the position is filled and while the thought is still there.

You can do it via email, but I would not do that just yet. Some companies are very funny about receiving email for people they don't know. And sometimes will or will view the email. I would send the Thank you note via mail. And you can purchase matching thank you cards and envelops at a drug store for less than $5.

You can do it either way. I've typed them and mailed them, handwritten them and mailed them, and email them. It depends on the job. If its a job like a secretary or something technical, you'll probably want to type and/or email it, cuz it uses a skill you would be using on the job. if its something like a PR person, or HR rep, you might want to handwrite it, to give it a more personal touch

Definitely handwrite it and mail it. It will stand out as opposed to being just one more email the boss gets everyday. Follow up thank you notes are still an excellent idea. Make sure you send it promptly.

actually things are so updated now, prior days the handwritten would have been approved but with todays technology - email may just as well serve the purpose - making acknowledement regardless of the outcome

great idea!

I am a corporate recruiter for a fortune 500 company, and an email thank you is just fine. In fact is much better than snail mail!

Handwrite it. These days, it is pretty easy to have a form letter. By hand writing, the employer will know that you at least took some time and effort.

It would be more professional to send a thank you card with a note on it.
