A person who manages a task from beginning to the end with a set of defined the deadline, milestones and budgets defined by his boss. Sometimes the project manager has some influence on deadlines, intermediate goals and projected budget planning but usually not.
A project manager title can be used for pretty much any industry and company, most commonly referred to IT, electrical or construction projects.
