I don't have a contract and I really hate my job, Had a hospital appointment today, they said i should get signed off sick for at least a week. have to go to docs for this which i cant do until tomorrow at the earliest! do you think i'd still receive Sick pay (statutory)? please let me know what you think?!

I am sending my (unsolicited) resumes around (on the advice of my college counseler) to a list of businesses (shops).

Should I write "resume" on the envelope so they don't think it's just junk mail & throw it out automatically, or will "resume" make them throw it out quicker??? LOL. thanks.

What should I take home in pay with this mortgage?I take home 440 dollars a week and mortgage including taxes and insurance is 800 dollars a month. My car and insurance and health insurance is paid for and I have one child.My utility,phone,water cable add up to 370.00 monthly.Gas is about 40 dollars a week. Food is about 80 dollars a week.Is this enough to make with these kind of payments?Any suggestions? Please no loan companies respond.

I've been temping at a company and during that time, I have been helping out a guy that's worked there for quite some time and he'd pretty much ask me to do things he should have been doing. He takes his job seriously, but most of the time, I notice he would stare at me while I would do things and always make a comment if he didn't agree with how I did my work, just not very tactfully.

He's usually not polite, but tries to force it.......Apparently, I've heard other temps have had problems with him too. Even guys that work with him now have problems with him, but just "avoid" him. He is not a team player, as I had observed and gets demanding and asks that I do things for him that require physical labor that he should be doing, but is not.

He came up to me and told me once I was full-time he realized I would have my own job to do and he wouldn't ask for my help. He said this several times, and not as a full-timer, one week in, he's asking me to do his work

I had a job interview on Wednesday at 10am in the morning. It was with the finance director of the company. We had a real good chat and he seemed impressed. He said i was the last person they were interviewing and everyone would hear one way or another by Next Wednesday 25th. However, he rang me this morning and asked me to go back in tomorrow morning to meet the rest of the directors. Does this mean they are gonna offer me the job or do you think they are just calling the short listed ones back in?

I have a recorded phone conversation with the broker in which it illustrate my say if required please to provide me with an e-mail.

On June 2005 one of ABN Amro Bank gentlemen came to my office in Dubai proudly explaining about their new Regular Saving Plan “Royal Skandia”.
As he said it is a flexible plan, only 10 monthly premium payments are a must, and after that I am free to continue the plan with the regular monthly payment or to withdraw 50% of the deposits plus the 7% interest profit, or to discontinue the plan and withdraw the money plus the 7% interest profit by sending a signed letter one month prior to the final payment.
The deal was for the minimum period which is 10 months because I was planning to leave the country.
After the ninth month I sent my letter to the bank mentioning that I want to discontinue the plan.
The reply was that the minimum period is ONE YEAR not before that.
This was my first shock but I said to myself no problem two additional months it is no

I went for an interview on Tuesday and the man gave my a double handshake (we shook hands and thn he put his other hand on the back of my hand), I gave his assistant a hank shake as well, but hers was very weak and I could tell mine was quite firm.

Is a firm handshake a good thing? What does his double handed shake signify?

It's not a major requirement just a general requirement. I was unable to complete it this summer because my internship recruiter quit and I couldn't complete the internship course. My advisor says to just apply and let them know that I am doing a project that won't conflict with my attendance at whatever positions I apply to. Will they be lenient? Or will they totally discard my interview. I have it in two weeks, should I let them know about this during or after my interview? Thanks in advance. Greetings!! =)
