I went for an interview on Tuesday and the man gave my a double handshake (we shook hands and thn he put his other hand on the back of my hand), I gave his assistant a hank shake as well, but hers was very weak and I could tell mine was quite firm.
Is a firm handshake a good thing? What does his double handed shake signify?

A firm handshake is good thing, it appears that you are very confident but one thing more allies with this firm handshake i. e. your eye contact, if you keep your eyes open and make direct eye contact that mean you really showed confidence.
double handshake means that somebody welcome you warmly and this is also ethics of some nations.

Double handshake is normally a very good sign, a strong handshake is good.
The weak handshake, you will probably find that this person has just not mastered the handshake yet.
Generally, the best one is a strong single hand shake (no dislocated shoulders or crushed knuckles though).

A double handshake is like a 'thank you' or 'nice to see you' on top of the standard greeting. It's a tad unconventional but don't feel as if you have to use two hands as well!
Sadly lots of women have very wimpy cold handshakes. In my experience it is often a reflection of their style of communication, so if you do work with her be prepared for a lot of mind-changing, oversensitivity, an inability to make firm decisions, and a lot of dithering.
Just make sure you have a regular firm (not clenching!) handshake yourself, that'll do.

A firm handshake is a good thing - I always find it a bit disconcerting if someone's handshake feels like a limp fish.
Double handed though is weird - sounds a bit over the top to me - but maybe he was just trying to be welcoming and was really thrilled to meet you!
Good luck with the job!

i have in difficulty-free words been to three interviews as I somewhat have in difficulty-free words left college for in basic terms over a year. i have not carried out any of this stuff (yet - comic tale!!!lol i could not in any respect dream of doing it as i comprehend it is a disaster!!!) Swearing - might want to you imagine f---ing or using different words lol -it would want to flow down truly properly - no longer! As 2 human beings have shared memories above me about human beings answering their cellphones, or searching disinterested, or no longer making eye contact performing truly chavvy/easy or Vicky Pollard off Little Britain, Lauren 'am i bovvered' off Catherine Tate (2 shows from teh uk) Threatening for a job tro employ someone (as an interviewer on 'ere has pronounced has handed off!!! mendacity or sl*gging off your previous jobs does no longer be an outstanding element to do both. Slouching, rolling eyes, delibertaely yawning without an attempt to positioned hands in a polite way over mouth. also.... might want to you each and every imagine BEING HUNGOVER OR below the effect of alcohol!!!!! Lol.

Handshakes are traditions and manners complied by people with pleasant personalities. It does not convey any feedback. They interview around 5 - 7 people and unless they have time to review everybody after interviews, they even can't be sure themselves. If you are potential candidate then your inteview time may prolong though. Goodluck with your interview.

A firm handshake is good but the female handshake is meant to be weak as they are the weaker sex or meant to be.

Double shake = insincerity
Limp shake = submissive / unassertive
Chances are he likes them that way.
