I'm in school getting a sociology degree but I really really really dont want to. I was orignally going to school to do dental hygiene but I didn't get in the dental hygiene school at my university. So I was wondering instead of letting my parents spend 24,000 dollars on my schooling each year maybe i should go and do something i really want to do. The only problem is that they wont help me pay for a community college education (lol, parents), so I would have to come up with the money myself. What should I do? any ideas?

The Visa credit card company is thinking of taking away the Visa priviledges from this company because of all the problems they have had with fraudulent charges. I would like my state (New Jersey) to go after this company and close them down and possibly file criminal charges. I do not know where to start or who to contact in my state.

Is it better to have a job doing something that you are good at or doing something that you enjoy?? I am currently a cook at a restaurant giong to school for Fine Arts. I have always done well in the restaurant business,... but now I have to decide between that, which I have the skill for. (OR) something with art or design. Like Interior Design or something along those lines.

What should I do, something that I have the skill for or something that I have the passion for???

Stock symbols get a Q behind the name and are traded at extremely low levels. Are new stocks issued when the company emerges from Chapter 11, or are these same ones being traded and renamed back again?

I have been working in the semiconductor industry as a CAD engineer for quite some years. How hard is it to switch from a CAD engineer to an analog design engineer? I have a BSEE. Can the managers and directors give me advice on whether the design group would want someone like me with the CAD talent? What does it take to switch over?

Thanks!

I have been offered two jobs at the same time.
One is to work in a bank as a 'customer service representative'.
The Human resources is working as a 'recruitment consultant'.
I have no experience in either field.

Obviously I am aware that everyone is different, every job is different, every environment is different.
All these factors depend on your personality to how you respond to specific tasks/jobs. But I am completely stuck on which one to chose.

Just wondered if you have any advice/experiences from within these environments/types of jobs that you could share.

What was it that made you end up in your job? Any regrets? What are the things you enjoy? Is Monday a tough day for you... or do you love every day of the week?

I am currently working in the DC metro area as a background investigator (government contractor). I'd like to get into the anti-fraud industry (maybe insurance fraud/white collar crime); however, I don't know what the essential tools are for these types of jobs. I have a bachelors degree. I am willing to go back to school and/or take professional courses, but I don't know where to begin and don't want to waste my money. I don't think I want to stay in the DC area forever, so learning about requirements in the private industry is very important to me. Thank you.

I'll get a check for about $350K. I'm not sure what to do with such a big check when they hand it to me. Go to the bank? Go to a mutual fund office like Fidelity? Go to a brokerage house? Any advice on what people do when they first get huge checks, especially since banks only insure to $100,000?

My bank has been notifying me the past month that I'm getting a new card with more features.... so I get it today and it's the same exact card as before. Same design, same account #, same expiration date, same features as before.

My current card doesnt expire until 2008 so why would they send a new one?

They said that if I use my card this month everything would be 5.9% for 6 months and then revert to my regular rate of 9% after that.

I am worried about using the card or activating the new card because I am currently only paying $1.90 in finance charges a month, instead of $70 it should be. If they are making a mistake I don't want them to find out.

So should I just continue using my old card? Maybe if I use the new card I am agreeing to some new terms or something I am not aware of?????

It's not a major requirement just a general requirement. I was unable to complete it this summer because my internship recruiter quit and I couldn't complete the internship course. My advisor says to just apply and let them know that I am doing a project that won't conflict with my attendance at whatever positions I apply to. Will they be lenient? Or will they totally discard my interview. I have it in two weeks, should I let them know about this during or after my interview? The position is a city position. Thanks in advance. Greetings!! =)
