I had a job interview on Wednesday at 10am in the morning. It was with the finance director of the company. We had a real good chat and he seemed impressed. He said i was the last person they were interviewing and everyone would hear one way or another by Next Wednesday 25th. However, he rang me this morning and asked me to go back in tomorrow morning to meet the rest of the directors. Does this mean they are gonna offer me the job or do you think they are just calling the short listed ones back in?

That is not at all unusual. First round interviews are mostly to screen, then companies have you come back to meet "the team" and more likely, your eventual (shoud you be hired) direct supervisor. So the callback is a good sign, but don't automatically assume you've got the job!

1. They are doing a third interview because they are narrowing down their choices and seriously believe you would be suitable for the job. 2. The truth is, you probably can't bring much more to the table interview-wise than you did in you second interview. Just do what you've been doing. What they are doing is listening to you one more time so that they can compare back-to-back candidates. 3. again, to compare back-to-back.

The fact that you will be presented to the rest of the directors is a very good sign! It is difficult to have all directors free at the same time for job interviews, so probably it is you and another person to choose from. Be positive, smile, and show them you know your value. Good Luck!

Sounds like a good sign to me - he wouldn't waste the other directors time if he didn't think you were any good. Plus if he's getting you back in so quickly he might be worried that someone else is going to snap you up.

However I'd suggest that you don't assume anything and approach the second interview in the same way you did the first - that way you'll impress them all with your fabulousness the way it sounds like you did the finance director.

Fingers crossed!

My guess would be the short listed ones - perhaps it is a tight race between you and another candidate and he wants other directors to help make the decision. Based on my experience they will typically tell you over the phone if they are having you come in to give you an offer.

I wouldn't get my hopes up quite yet, about the job offer, but I would say that if they want you to meet people that are important, you are probably DEFINATELY in the running.

It could be between you and another person, and he wants a second opinion, as you are both candidates. I would say you should be proud either way (get the job or not). You have made an impression, or you wouldn't be taking up someone important's time!

The rest of the directors will not be seeing more than one. They have better things to do than interview everybody again. You are in the lead. This is the final hurdle. If they like you, you're in. Good luck.

He is probably looking for the "thumbs-up" from the rest of the directors. Treat it as a second interiew and if you impress them a job offer will be on it's way.

Good luck ;)

Sounds like they're very interested in you and maybe calling you back for a secondary interview or to offer you the job, good luck.

Sounds like they want to give you a second interview. This doesn't necessarily mean you got the job. They may have narrowed it down to a few candidates and you are one of them. Good luck.
