I admit that I know very little about Amway, but I've heard stories about people getting rich from selling their products. I've also heard that it's more like Scamway, though. Does anyone have any input?

Yahoo Finance has copious historical records of many stocks. However, it does not include mutual funds contained within annuities. I am specifically looking for historical daily returns of the unit prices of mutual funds within a Metropolitan Life annuity. I have called Metroplitan Life and basically have been told that these records are not available. That bothers me because, obviously, someone has these records - it's the only way published averages of 3-months, 6-months, etc., can be calculated. I would like to do some of my own graphing and analysis, but I cannot do so without these records. Can anyone help?

I'm very interested in the job...bubbly personality, presentable, good at sales and speaking with people. I will be graduating college with a degree in science in 2 years. How can I get into that right after college? Also what does this job entail? A lot of travel? Are the hours long? Can you work on your own time eventually? How does it all work. Oh and what about the pay....?

My spouse and I are both disabled on SSI, early Social Security and his Pension Check. In 2001 he received a large lump sum buyout and we paid off all bills, credit cards, etc. even though the money was taxed highly. The banking institution didn't withhold the correct amt. of taxes and knowing we would owe a huge amount of tax - we didn't file. We know ignorance is no excuse, yet we blindly lived on. About 6 mos. ago the IRS started garnishing approx. $900 per month. Each month we sink further into debt. Currently we have paid our rent, utilities, repaid loans to the few kind relatives and friends that came to our rescue and the much needed prescriptions for the month ($400+ even with insurance). We both have widowed mothers to care for. The doctors, hospitals, labs, etc. are not getting paid so healthcare has stopped. No gas, okay, but we get HUNGARY. We MUST reduce the IRS payments! The mental anguish is certainly taking its toll - how to survive 3 more weeks!

when they are getting paid real money for the job they are doing. Okay, so maybe it is not their chosen career and they are not making as much money as they would like, but I know of no employer who pays with monopoly money for a job done... well or other wise. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but all the jobs I've worked have been REAL jobs. Thank you for letting me vent.

I haven't invested in a cd for many years. I am playing around with figures and am considering investing..let's say in a $1,000 cd at my neighborhood credit union. The APR is 5.13% and the APY is 5.25%

Question # (1) The paperwork states:
"If funds are withdrawn prior to maturity, a penalty will be imposed as follows: The dividend for the last 120 days on terms of 12 months or greater; 60 days for dividends for terms less than 12 months will be forfeited whether or not earned. Penalty will be calculated on the original certificate principal amount. Principal may be reduced by amount needed to satisfy penalty." How would I calculate the amount I would lose if I withdrew after, say, 6 months ? I'm just trying to get estimate of what I might possibly lose if, a few months into the future I want to withdraw.

Question (2) Would early withdrawal hurt my FICO score/Credit Rating? Would it hurt my "good reputation" with my credit union?

We had refinanced a year ago and it was determined at that time we needed more flood insurance coverage to cover the amount of the loan. We got the additional insurance, then our mortgage was sold. 9 months later the new loan holder wants us to obtain more flood insurance (which our insurance agents assures us in unnnecessary) or they will obtain it themselves and put a lien on us. Is this legal?

I recently received my credit dispute results and it wasn't found in my favor. I know I became delinquent on a Household Bank Visa account in July 1999 and I never made another payment after that. I didn't mean to default but I had problems that couldn't be avoided and it resulted in financial difficulty. The strange thing is, the original creditor was taken off my Experian report but the collection agency that is trying to collect for Household Bank is scheduled to remain until July 2007. Isn't this a violation of the FCRA to extend the reporting period? How could this collection agency verify the account as accurate? I've never contacted the collection agency and they haven't contacted me. I just want to what are my options.

we signed friday on a house on 5 acres of land. we went through another realtor because the one selling never called us back. Well when we signed on friday there were no other offers. my realtor called him friday after we made the offer and on sat. no responce. he called him again on monday - nothing. tuesay he finally got ahold of him and said that there were 2 other offers and he was taking another one, not ours. the reason he did get back with him is because he dosen't work on weekends and monday was a holiday. now the only thing left for us to do is to offer the asking price. if we do that can they offer the same and get the house or can they offer more than the asking price?? I really feel like the realtor selling the house is screwing us and not giving us a fair chance to get the house. We have already been approved for the morgage, so that is not the issue. please help me?????

I start a new job in two weeks and my vacation will be available to me in six months. I have a new baby and my parents are 2,000 miles away and retired. They have not seen her yet. I told them I will try to come in the spring. She said she wants to see the baby more than anything but I should not use my vacation even though it is available to make a good impression at work. How is taking a week off making a bad impression. What do you think?

Had a car reposed in 10/2002 – exactly 4 years ago. Owed $6K. the original creditor sold the account – claimed I owed $0 – but my credit has been shot – and will be for the next 3 years.

Last month, a collection agency got a hold of this account, and is claiming that I owe them the $6K, when I know they paid next to nothing for this account. HELP! My credit has been getting much better in the last 3 years – and altogether – I owe $3500 in student loans. Learned my lesson, live within my means, have little credit cards with little balances.

I sent a letter to the credit bureaus and told them that this is not new, but an old claim disguised as something new. Can they do this? And will my credit report keep this new information on? I really thought that this was going to fall off in 3 years – so not only have they re-aged the debt, but they must have paid $0.02 per dollar owed - which is crazy.

Has anyone ever gone through this? what happened?
