I am volunteering with a friend that has his own business right now - that is how desperate I am. I am working in a warehouse and for two years I worked with special needs kids. If anyone knows where to direct me I would really appreciate it. I guess the volunteering is the only way until someone gives me a chance and sees the volunteer experience. I want to work in something white collar. I am not that specific anymore because it is just so hard to get so I am frexible in terms as to what type of white collar job I want.

I have only got one really good job so far because of my education and that was only really a good ' paying ' job. I worked with special needs kids in the school system full time for two years and it was somewhat rewarding. I am volunteering a bit right now - and have a reference from that. I am helping a freind market a business and he is increasing his customer base from my help. What should I do ? Just keep volunteering and get part time / casual related employment to what I want ? I want to work in an office with a tie at least. I took over fifty grand in debt getting two degrees. Right now I am working a warehouse for half of what I was paid in the school system.

Any financial research i have done has been for investment purposes, i know nothing about reposession.
If anyone has any feedback as to what options (and what's involved when it happens to you) are available, i would be very grateful.
The company who provided the mortgage have handed it over to an estate agents (i have suspicions both companies are linked in some way) who i am presuming will put it to auction. Although i know for a fact this particular estate agent has property interests himself, so he may make an attempt to buy the property cheaply and sell it on at a profit.
The thing is, i am in a position to make sure the property does not go for peanuts by either forcing any auction bidders to go over a certain threshold or forcing this estate agent to buy the property at a higher price than he planned to. I presume the agents need to make public what method they are reselling the property by?
I want to help, not profit from this but can they do anything even at this stage?

In a calendar year, there are 2080 work hours (assuming one works 40 hour work weeks). But in some cases, 2087 hours is used to calculate biweekly pay. (i.e., annual salary divided by 2087 to get the hourly rate and multiply this by 80 to get the biweekly pay). Where does the 7 hours come from and when are they worked?

Scenario: My fiance called me at work this morning and said he ripped his thumb nail off (his thumb was injured earlier this year, has now healed, and got permisson to return to work a couple of months ago). He works in construction and was drilling something and got his thumb nail caught. He cannot drive right now due to suspended liscense so he carpools. The person he carpools with offered to take him to the doctors but the foreman on the site said no he couldn't leave because there was too much work to do. He was bleeding pretty badly and in pain, so they cleaned the wound and wrapped it in gauze. It bled through the gauze and they had to do it again. He asked If i could come get him but he was over 2 hours away and if he is bleeding I told him it was their responsibilty since he was hurt on the job, but if he needs me to i will come get him. Because I thought if hes bleeding he needs attention now not 2 hours from now right??

I am a 22/m. I am a sr in college and I grad in may and we are having a career fair next week at school also I will be interviewing for jobs. I was wanting to know, is it ok to wear small round gold ball studs to interviews? I want to look professional, but my earrings are a part of me. I think they are subtle. I normally wear square diamond studs but I know that is too much. I was wondering about the small ball studs. I am a psych major and want to be a juve delinq counselor. Many people have told me that employeers are ok with guys wearing earrings as long as they are subtle like the ones I am talking about. I wasn't sure. I don't think it should be that big of a deal. I have a professional, mature look. However, I like to be myself and express myself as well. A job isn't your identity. What do you think?? I am torn because I am not sure if the small ball studs are too much. I don't think so, but that's me. I try to keep them in 24/7 so that my right ear lobe doesn't close. I

I havea question about how brokerage firm makes money. Me and my friend had a arguement about it. The question is this. When traders bid for a stock at a certain price and someone asks for that stock at the same price then the trade gets executed right? But then he says when a bidder bids for a stock like google at 417.50 and the ask is 417.50, the brokerage firm will try to wait and get the stock at 417.40 or lower and then off that lower amount is what they profit or the spread. is this true? if so is this still legal?

ok here is my situation. About 2 years ago I left my abusive excuse of a man. while we were married I co-singed a car loan with him, as well other credit cards. The car was his, and after I left he lost/left his job, car got repo'ed.
Per the divorce agreement we agreed that we would both file for bankruptcy....(which is a whole different question...how do you find a bankruptcy attorney if your low income)...we both have yet to file for bankruptcy.
About 2 mths ago I go a summons saying I had to reply, I forwarded to my lawyer, his office told me they would reply- they did not reply, and will not repond to my letters. I have been out of work for the last 3 months, and have not paid him yet...so I am guessing that is why I have not heard from me...
my question is what can I expect in court regarding the car payment. They send my ex a letter to be there, but they don't have is correct address, What is going to happen? I am a single mom with no job, and no money..am I going to jail?

The company was there when they started, it'll thrive when they're gone. I've seen this several times at a couple different companies. It usually happens when someone feels like they are being treated unfairly and they either resign of just walk out. Usually they'll make a statement as they leave or we'll hear it from friends they've made at work. They always think the company will fold since they left, and it never does.

I have an opportunity to train at another job, with a meeting afterwards 2 c how we like each other. I presently work at a tiny company- we all know each others' life storys. I do have family in another state, i could invent a relative (funeral) (live in same town as boss, could run into each other) or is honesty the best policy? Present boss knows I'm miserable there, but doesnt know I've been looking.
