my first suggestion is you put in a clear retainer for the job fair and interviews to avoid having your holes close. secondly, do not wear your earrings to an interview. after you get the job, ask about the jewelry policy for men and what is acceptable. the line of work you are choosing, the kids may be able to relate to you better if you seem more down to earth (earrings, casual dress) than if you wore a uniform (guards/authority) or suit/tie (gives feeling you dont understand). you dont have to compromise who you are for a job, but you do have a responsibility to follow the policies as noted.

Prolly is not a good idea. Some companies have dress codes. Find out first before you go to an interview with a company that has a dress code - better safe than sorry. And, taking the earring off for a few hours for an interview will not make the hole in your lobe close.

No, this won't fly with your employer. They're going to write you off as soon as you walk in the door. Replace your studs with clear ones so that your ears don't close up. In the interview, ask how they feel about body jewlery and such. Many employers ARE okay with guys wearing jewlery, but not in an interview. It's taboo or whatever. I know, society sucks.

I think that you are right on with what you've said.
As with your clothing and everything else, be tasteful, but be you. Not wearing earrings to the interview is misrepresenting who you are. . .similar to lying on the resume. There may be some organizations that react adversely to you wearing the earrings to the interview, but think of how they'd react if you didn't wear them to the interview, but showed up with them at work?
Be honest, be mature, and be professional - but be you.
Aside, a friend hired a gentleman who came in with black dyed hair, black fingernails, and jewelry. Appearances aside, he was the man who could do the job. Hopefully this will prevail, but be aware that some make take offense at your appearance.

While I have employees who wear earrings and I have no problem with them, I would not recommend them at an interview. You want to project the absolute best image that you can. Wearing earrings seems to project an image of rebel to me and that is not a good image to project when you are trying to impress your potential employer.

when you go in, see what everyone else is wearing,
.
personally, when I hire someone,
I can't make a decision based on earrings, but they are not professional. it would detract from the whole appearance.
I'd suggest not wearing them to the interview, and then reviewing the dress code later on.

Don't wear them. You're likely to turn some people off before the first word gets out of your mouth. Unless you want to be a bartender, skip the bling and look like a professional.

I suggest not wearing them but as someone already suggested, ask first, then see what happens. If the job is important, you will use discretion.

There used to be a guy who worked in my office, he had an earring. We used to make fun of him, saying he was a pirate and such, behind his back. So in short, no, don't wear it, not only is it unprofessional, it's so outdated. Hello 1980's!
