Just be able to provide proof that you are using the drugs legally. When I had my last pre-hire test, they asked at the testing lab if I was on any meds -- I was -- and asked to see the bottle, which I had brought with me.
The test came back positive for an authorized prescription pain medication at a theraputic level. No problem!
The "gotcha" with prescription meds is if you have an excessively high level in your system. If you need to boost your dose, consult with your doctor and get written proof of the new prescribed level and bring that with you to the testing lab.

Before you actually take the drug test, you will be asked to write down any prescription or over-the-counter medications you are now taking or have taken within a certain amount of time.
Inform them of your pain pills & why you are taking them (and take the bottle with you...it should have your name as the patient on the label). Make sure to recall anything you have taken recently like benadryl, ibuprofen, tylenol, any otc medications. If you eat anything with poppy seeds in it shortly before testing, tell them that because that will show up as opium.
Drink a lot of water before going for testing so you won't have trouble peeing...they will request a urine sample. Only a few large companies require a hair sample for testing because it is a more expensive test.

Take in your prescription bottle. As long as it was recently issued, it shouldn't be a problem. They cannot deny you a job because of prescription meds. I know. I'm Epileptic and have severe back issues.
Hell, I went to work under the influence of Flexeril and Vicotin along with my Epilepsy meds, and my boss knew. She didn't care as long as I could do my work. I worked my ten hours without problem! Of course, I don't operate heavy machinery. I do marketing, graphic design and accounting. It doesn't really matter if I'm a lump.

No. Usually, they only check for illegal drugs, pot, coke, meth etc..so prescription drugs aren't detected. In the event they are detected, you have a script, perfectly legal. You have nothing to worry about. Go pee in the cup with confidence!
