I have already put down a deposit, and my realtor & mortgage broker have really taken me for a ride. They have put off financing approval till the day before closing, and changed terms of financing so many times I don't know what's what. Now that I say I want to back out, the realtor and sellers are threatening to sue. What will happen if I back out? Can they recover any damages from me?

I recently watched one of those seemingly dumb infomercials, called INVESTools. Well, it seemed cool, I just don't understand, there has to be a gimmick. What is it???

I'm going on a honeymoon during the second week of October and I'm applying for job now. Should I include it? How should I include it?

What I had: From Oct. 9 - 17 I will be on my honeymoon. An interview prior to my vacation could bring me on board immediately upon my return.

Any ideas?

i work in a factory. and the rule is if you are a packer, no matter what department you work in, you should be able to pack in any other departments. yesterday at work, there were 3 packers and 1 operator who's job is to run the machine properly. the three packers were suppose to switch packing and other small jobs....one packer said she didn't know how to pack so we said that i'll be ok she could stack up the boxes instead. anyway, the 2 of us were in trouble for packing bad parts and the 3rd person didn't get the verbal warning just because she isn't in our department. like i said, the rule is: if you are a packer, you are suppose to be able to pack in any department. NOW IS THAT FAIR OR NOT BECAUSE THE 3RD PERSON DIDN'T GET WROTE UP? let me know ASAP!!!

My mother sold me a piece of property in FL last November for $1.00. She bought the property back in the mid 70's for about $7K and at last assessment the property could be sold for about $55K. I want to sell it in November (a year after she "sold" it to me). I am a school teacher in CA. I have no idea how to figure capital gains on something like this and was wondering if anyone could help me, or point me in a direction for help. Anyone have a ballpark figure on what the CG might be?

I've filed with the State of Illinois for age discrimination against my former employer - an insurance agency. I've also filed with the labor board because my former employer would not send me documentation on my final paycheck which is commission based. They just sent me a net check and didn't tell me how they derived the check amount.

I want to find a lawyer that understands how insurance agents are paid. I am in Property & Casualty and my commission are sometimes from 2 or 3 months in the past because of the way the company collects the premiums.

Does anyone know of a good resource to find a lawyer with experience in insurance? I can find them who are experienced on the "employer's" side but not the "employee's" side.
