Try applying...

Surest way to know; if they accept you then you most probably qualify to study for an MBA at Harvard.

You absolutely need work experience. On top of that, good grades, good recommendations. and a stellar essay would definitely help.

Honestly, I don't see the big deal about Harvard MBAs. Most recruiters think Harvard MBA grads tend to be cocky and expect to be CEOs right out of B-School. It hurts you in many industries. Unless maybe the company actively recruits these Harvard MBA students. I hear that the University of Michigan is rated most highly by recruiters. Look into their program as well. Harvard isn't the *only* business school in the US.

I'm not sure if it will matter if you have a lot of work experience if you are young. If you have volunteer experience or were active in campus organizations, it may not be a problem.

In order to get into Harvard you will obviously need to be at the top of your class as an undergraduate. Also, you will need to score in the top percentile (probably 99th) of those taking the GMAT.

It would help if you have recommendation letters from high ranking government officials or business leaders.

I looked at Harvard's website for their MBA program a few months ago. They have people from all walks of life including foreign countries.

Others top MBA programs you may want to consider are: Columbia, Stanford, U of Chicago, and U of Pennsylvania - Wharton School.

Good luck in your pursuit!
