I'm going on a honeymoon during the second week of October and I'm applying for job now. Should I include it? How should I include it?

What I had: From Oct. 9 - 17 I will be on my honeymoon. An interview prior to my vacation could bring me on board immediately upon my return.

Any ideas?

It's not for starting a job--it's for contacting for the initial interview.

I wouldn't include it at all. I typically indicate immediate availability when I interview for a job, or at least two weeks notice if I am currently employed. Your upcoming honeymoon does not affect your qualifications for the position, and it should only be brought up if you are offered the position. Typically at the time of a job offer, the company offering employment will confirm a starting date. Good luck with the job, and congrats on your upcoming marriage.

Are you available for a phone interview during your honeymoon?

I would include the dates and include that you would be available for a phone interview and then upon your return an in-house interview.

of course you should tell when you will be available for work....they dont usually ask why a certain date, but if they do...be honest....after all, Honesty is still respected....It's pitiful you would consider lying or deceiving on such a simple issue...I hope you never work for me....
