I know most places, when you start, make you wait 2 weeks before your first pay check. I started working for a local restaurant and have been working for a week now as of yesterday. The thing is, is that they get paid every 2 weeks....so I was thinking, would they pay me this Monday or would they make me wait another 2 weeks!?

I have an ambition to work for the FBI as a forensic accountant. But I heard it is really competitive to get hired there and you have to be extremely well qualified.
Does anyone know what it is like to work for the FBI? How hard is it to get hired there? Are most FBI jobs dangerous jobs that require carrying and use of firearms?

.......I've been temping at to hire me full time. I feel comfortable and established and don't feel like jumping anywhere, anymore. Is it to be expected that my money goes quick?After paying my cell phone, student loans, and car insurance, and gas every week (because this country sucks).

I live in a small town with my parents in Taxachusetts.
Should I be concerned living week to week, because I want to move out. I been out of college for 2 years and landed nothing except temp jobs and side things. I just want to know if making $300.00 a week is enough or not to make it in today's society. I do care about saving, but haven't been doing it and want the tide to change soon?

Hi everyone! I currently have a BS in Comunication with a concentration in broadcasting. I was very good at it, but I don't want to be a news hound. I am sort of torn on what to do now. I considered going for a Master's degree in PR, but I really dislike the idea of shmoozing with people. I also thought about going back for another Bachelor's in accounting just because there is always a demand for them. Every personality and aptitude test I take says I am good at writing, art, helping people. I agree with these results. Any ideas as to what I can do at this stage of the game? I'm 25, so I'm realitively young and can start over. Thanks! If you yourself are in any of the careers you mention, what do you like or dislike? Feel free to vent!

Hi All,

I accepted a position in Tampa located near the airport (on Cypress).
What is Tampa like? What are the "good" areas to live? Safety, easy access to work (I am concerned about traffic), near amenities, nightlife. Being near the beach would be a bonus, but easy access to work is more important.

The following list is what I found and heard that are good areas:

Tampa Palms/New Tampa
- North Tampa?
Clearwater
- How easy is it to get to the airport from here?
St. Petersburg
Forest Hills/Hillsborough
Temple Terrace
Brandon
New Port Richey
Carrolwood
Hyde Park

I haven't mapped all these out yet.
Hope to get some insight on these areas or areas near my work.

This is an owner occupied building and my tenant wants to get a snake and says I can't stop her because it is considered a "caged" animal (like a hamster or goldfish). She has a horrible track record with pets and I finally got her to get rid of the lizards, birds, ferrets, dog and chincilla she moved in with. Her lease says no pets, but it expired and she is now a tenant at will (month to month) Anyone have any ideas???

I am a stay at home mom looking for an actual home based job that doesn't require a upfront fee. I have been through the ringer and need some help. I am willing to work hard, and to dedicate 15-30 works a week to make this work. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I was having family problems and could not get time off. My fiancee had a drug addiction and had social services called on her while i was at work also she always lied to me. this created alot of stress on me so I started using drugs and alcohol more often to cope in my daily routines. I tryed to get time off but my boss refused to give it to me saying we were to busy,and if I could last till spring break (4 months) he would give me a leave of absence. I tried to make it through but the drug use became more and more as the lying continued and I was afraid I would lose my children.so I ended up leaving work, not quitting. I was told by my employer to go to a drug rehabilitation program. I tried to get in but was not able to because my employer would not cover it, and I could not afford it. Also I was looking after my chilren while my fiancee tried to get help3 months later I recieved a letter from work saying I had Quit Do you think I could get my job back? what should I do? any rights?

My dad told me that there is a 35 mile radius and after that you have to have a CDL. A friend said if you are leaving the state then you are to have one. I would like to know please.
