I have an ambition to work for the FBI as a forensic accountant. But I heard it is really competitive to get hired there and you have to be extremely well qualified.
Does anyone know what it is like to work for the FBI? How hard is it to get hired there? Are most FBI jobs dangerous jobs that require carrying and use of firearms?

visit the FBI website and look at the specific job descriptions and hiring programs. Within all federal employment, advanced education is often needed to move up, unless you've been in the agency for 20+ yrs.
www.usajob.gov is the federal website

Don't leave this to fate - pound the pavement, get an interview and get all the necessary paperwork into them. Homeland Security and Dept of Defense may be interested in your skills too.
Good luck
