A friend and myself were discussing this the other day, basically because my credit rating sucks as I rinsed overdrafts and credit cards whilst at Uni.
I'm moving house soon, and we don't see why I can't apply for a loan with a decent rate of interest (normally reserved for people with "good" credit history) to pay off my debts, simply by saying I've lived at that address for, say, the past 5 years, maybe even change some small details, such as date of birth, middle name etc to further remove that history from my records.
Does anyone here actually know exactly how your credit history is linked to you? We thought it might be National Insurance number, but that's not asked for when applying for credit cards / loans.
Cheers.

The Story - In 1998 Coca-Cola set up a bottling plant in Perumatti in the southern state of Kerala. Since it opened, local villagers have complained about the fall in the amount of water available to them and have blamed the fall in supplies on Coca Cola who, they claim, use up to a million liters per day at the plant. Coca-Cola claims that the shortage in the water is due to the lack of rains in the region. Coca-Cola even sends round tankers of water to the region to help the local community. Local farmers are claiming that their livelihood has been destroyed since the building of the plant and that the number of people working on the land has dropped considerably because they cannot survive.

In 2002 I founded a company that sells turnkey online stores, websites and hosting, we distinguish for personalized design and service to mid-sized companies. Last October 2005 I moved abroad and sold 40% of stock to my best salesman, at that time the company was covering expenses and paying me.

2005: 100 clients (hosting) and 4 projects/month
2006: 80 clients and 2 projects/month

Since I left the company everything went down, at the beginning I thought it was because I was the office manager and many things were assigned to me, but I trained ppol before leaving. Today we have problems of employee participation (5 persons), problems of supervision bcs the executive associated stays out in meetings all the time and in low quality-innovation, resulting everything in:

-Old clients leaving and a lower rate of new clients/month

100% of our income is spent in payroll and office, therefore no advertisement can be done, no revenues to the owners.

I really want to save the company.
