I'm a software developer, and have spent the past several years working in the not-very-stable videogame business. So, my resume includes a number of short stints at companies that were losing money in a big way. In videogames, this is normal, and no employer really cares if you've been at a lot of other firms. However, I've made up mind to get out of that field and do something different. Do I tell potential employers in other businesses that I wasn't fired from two recent companies on my resume, but that the companies had problems that led to my being let go? (Or in two other cases, that I chose not to extend a contract position to full employment?) Currently, I'm NOT explaining these issues on my resume.

I opened these before the rates went up. If I close them I take a hit though. Should I keep them in the CD or withdraw and place them in my savings account -- which will make me the most interest even after the hit?

I have a (decent) job at a doctor's office making fairly decent money. Actually, because of my past experience in Emergency Medical Services, I make more than some who have been there longer than me. Because of a slip up (not mine), the word on my salary is out. Now there are a few who just will not quit looking for reasons to complain about me to the office manager. I have had my fill of being called to the office, so I have decided to give my resignation. Is this the right thing -- to let them win? I THINK will be happier elsewhere, but could this just be because of them? HELP!

what makes better financial sense.I own a property that would fetch offers over 70k [scotland ] i am mortgage free.I Want to buy a new property at offers over 80k should i -
(option 1) sell my property and stay mortgage free (option 2) rent out my own and rely on the rent paying 80% of the mortgage payments on new property [not sure if i would even get mortgage for this amount even using my house as colateral as i am on very low income at the moment ] (option3) buy new property out right and obtain small motgage for family members council house [would get full discount ] this property is in higher priced area than my own, has one less bedroom and fetches offers over 70k in resale, but would not receive any financial returns from it for many years. In an ideal world would love to be able to own all 3 but wouldn't want to risk losing my own or family members home p.s have no pension. would be really !!!! grateful for any advice hope all this makes sense

I filed for bankruptcy 3 years ago and was discharged. Today, I attempted to open a new bank account and was told I had an "unpaid bankruptcy." What is that and how do I fix it?

The only thing I can think of is that I listed the collection agency instead of the bank that issued the credit card (or the reverse) and the one got the message but didn't communicate it to the other.

Our land lord is selling our house that we rent I want to know from other investors out there. When you go and look at a house that you may be buying to rent out. 1: Do you stay for long or have a quick look around.2: Also if somebody is already living in that house renting do you ask if they would stay on. if you did not like the house. 3 if the renter said they would but would like some work be done. just new carpets and paint. To bring it up to standard would you carry out this work while they were in the house. Or would you rather find you own renters. If the renters that are already there have a good reputation. And come recomanded by the real estates.
