Some better than others. Those sitting with a decent amount of equity in their homes will be ok so long as they don't lose their jobs. The big problem is going to be all those people with 100% (or more!) mortgages that bought near the top of the market. With home prices heading south and property taxes adjusted up, they'll owe a lot more than their home is worth. That is a tough spot to be in.

After what I just watched on Sky, they have suffered quite bad, 10,000 people have died due to them freezing to death, because they couldn't afford to haet there homes due to the oil shortage, which was all caused by Katrina, that was the worst disaster mother nature could deal such a state in the U.S, I mean George W.Bush don't seem to care about his people much, all is worried about is Bloody Wars!, and profit, not the American people, I mean the economy is starting to recover, with 80% of oil production resuming, and reserves starting to go back to normal, I think they will be just fine, as they have to deal with the worst, and it will only get better now, quite interesting the programme I watched about what the oil shortage did to the whole of the U.S.A!
