I went to UPS store, and found one cardboard box costs about $5; but I cannot afford for the price because I need to buy many boxes (more than 20). I need a new box for shipping of an item.

I would really appreciate if you would tell me any place, selling cardboard boxes cheaply.

My company matches up to 5% of 401k after 1 year of service. Is there any possible way to have them match it sooner than 1 year? Yes I know I should ask H.R., but I'm curious now and dont feel like waiting till Monday.

I did, got burned out and disgusted after putting a lot of years in. Dozens of fearful middle managers focused on fault-finding, lame team-building stuff, product misrepresentation, etc. I don't know what my question is---maybe what the heck are they teaching in business school these days? Whatever happened to business ethics? Any input is appreciated as I'm feeling very demoralized.

I want to sell my unwanted stuff through eBay, and I want to know the shipping fee.
First I put my item on my postal scale and go to USPS web site to calculate the shipping fee. Now I know how much to ship my item, but how much tax do I pay? Multiple by the percentage of tax as same as when I buy stuff at store? I want to know if they charge me some extra handling fee or something like that.

I am 58 and my husband is 53 . After raising our 3 kids we have about 25K saved. We thought of buying a single payment annuity so that we can receive payments for life. We do not know how much a month we will get and whether it would be better just invest in a no load mutual fund like Fidelity Retirement fund Which approach will serve our purpose better We have no other retirement except social security in a few years( I plan to take social security at 62 but I might have to work until 66 . My husband plans to take his at 62.

here's the thing... i've checked all 3 credit bureaus and i have good scores and bad scores, so is there a way i can lookup a credit card company by the credit bureau it uses to determine whether to give a card to someone or not? does that make sense? lol.

I received a pink letter with lots of caps, exclamation points (well 2), and language that seemed to indicate urgency. It was from a place called "State" Food Service Compliance Center. "State" being the state I'm in. The letter basically describes the law that requires signs reminding employees to wash their hands, the possible punishments for not having the signs, and a requirement that the signs must not be self-made. Despite their name, they say they are a non-governmental organization providing mandatory Approved Hand Washing Posters. So,

1. Is there really a requirement to post these signs?
2. Is it true that it can not be self-made?
3. Do I have to get it from them?
4. Isn't $20 + shipping for a 11"x17" sign a bit much?
5. This is a scam isn't it?

I am supposed to move in a week and went on a apartment ratings site and found that there are a lot of problems at the apts I signed a lease at. My fiance and I want to sign a lease somewhere else. Do I forfeit my security deposit and still have to pay for this apt? We haven't given a first months rent with the security deposit so I wouldnt think the contract is binding yet? Please help!!!
