I want to sell my unwanted stuff through eBay, and I want to know the shipping fee.
First I put my item on my postal scale and go to USPS web site to calculate the shipping fee. Now I know how much to ship my item, but how much tax do I pay? Multiple by the percentage of tax as same as when I buy stuff at store? I want to know if they charge me some extra handling fee or something like that.

THank you.

The USPS is a government agency and is exempt from any state taxes. The federal government does not tax delivery services.

You don't pay tax on postage. Postage *is* a tax. Be aware, though, that if you take your item to a mailbox center like Mailboxes, Etc. (now UPS Store) they may charge a service fee. Go directly to the post office to avoid this.

You don't pay tax at the post office. The rates are fixed. No special fees or anything, what the website says is what you will pay.
