Police officer or firefighter? that LOVES dispatchers?

it depends are you good or not. I hate the oones that dont give you the right information or try to run the scene from their side of the radio. THe worse i ever had, and i have seen alot of bad ones, was one night when i was dispatched to a allergic reaction, on the 6th floor of a condo. I take my bags with me and head up. As i walk in i find the police doing CPR, and realize its a full code. I need to send for more equipment becasue i brought with me the equipment the dipatcher said the call was. When we review the tapes later, found the caller had stated ' i think XXXXXX is having an allergic reaction she just started new medicine. She is on the floor not breathing and her tounge is hanging out of her mouth'. Not that the call would have turned out differently with the right info, but it is frustrating to get the wrong info.

I'm a dispatcher. I love my job & the guys I work with! Multi-tasking and calltaking skills, and officer/ff safety are the most important for our job.
