I don't like my current job and i am desperate to leave it. What can I tell my boss so he wouldn't know that I am seeking other employment? What is the best lie to concoct?

I was reading an article today about an incident at the Lincoln Park zoo in Chicago. Apparantly the president of the zoo offered his resignation because of the incident, but the zoo had refused to accept it. I don't get why, if the person wants to resign, a company wouldn't allow them to.

I live in wv where my landlord is trying to evict me without 30 days notice (required by wv law). After I told her I was not moving until those 30 days were up, she shut off the cable which was included when I moved in, is this illegal?

How can you remove yourself from the blacklist? I think my recent employer blacklisted me because i left her without any notice, and she deserved it, but I think she may have hurt my chances for future employment. Is there a way I can find out for sure and if so, remove myself from the list since I don't deserve it?!

I am going to change the way our finances are set up for our family, and wondered if you would share what model works for you. Currently I make all the income, and support a non-working spouse -not that he couldn't, he just won't. I no longer wish to be his "sugar-mommie"! I know it sounds stupid but I am petrified of job interviews. I absolutely hate talking about myself as I have had a very traumatic work past and was a victim of abuse in the job. When they ask about the job it brings back painful memories that I do not even talk to my friends about. Of course I lie and would never mention it and act like everything was just great but the anxiety is there and I am not a perfect liar. This has been going on for many years and only gets worse. My contractor wrote a contract that called for a 500 sq ft patio. As it turns out, when he modified his original drawing (per my request), the patio is now 550 sq ft. Since he only bought 500 sq ft of materials, am I obligated to pay him for the extra 50 sq ft? I don't want to be obnoxious, but I don't want to be a doormat, either.
