I read on one of the excerts on this site that use of salon conditioners over a long period of time can actually be damaging on your hair and that Henna conditioners are the best. Is this true, and explain?

My hair is brown and I was thinking I'd dye it blonde... do you think it'd look good on me???? I wanna do something differen't, but everyone tells me not to do it because I look beautiful already how I am... but thats not why I wanna do it... I wanna see how I look and like I said try something differen't for once. But my eyebrows are thin and very light brown, do you think blonde hair would look stupid?

i have curly hair, and would like to know if its better to get your hair trimmed/cut when it is straight or curly? I have previously straightned it before having it cut and i dont seem to end up with a style that brings out the curl more. So should i have it straight or curly for cutting? can they cut hair when its curly and also is it best to get a dry or wet cut?

I have naturally light brown hair, and I like it dark. I have been dying it for years. Each time I dye it, it seems to fade quicker and quicker. I dyed it a week ago (almost black) and it's already brown. This last time I used a no ammonia dye to try and protect it from more damage. Is there anything else I can do?? I don't want to go natural. Is there a different type of dye I can try? I got it professionally done once, and that didn't help at all, it still faded quick. I am using special shampoos & conditioners for color treated hair, and try to not get too much sun exposure. Any other tips???

Like I thought about put it up half way then the rest be down. And then curl the hair in the pony tail and then have a lil hair hangin down like by my eyes and curl it to. But i cant find a pic that is similar to that to look at and i want to see how its going to look first. Does anyone have a pic sorda like that? Or do you have any ideas on how else I can put it up. Its not a prom that im going to but its called a Katilian and its just like a mini dance thing! So please help me out on how to do my hair. My hair is shoulder length, straight, and brown. Its usually pretty easy to curl. So that should give you enough detail about it to help me out if you have any ideas! Well thanks to those that do help me out!

Hey,
I have a little question. I am a guy and recently I decided that I am going to let my hair to grow. Well, the problem is that my hair curly and therefore unless it is wet, I look like a "lion". Mostly the sides of my head are the parts where the hair tends to stick out. I am trying no to use any hair gel or spray or moose since it damages my hair.
I have been using those cheap hair mooses (obviously not healthy for my hair) and in a period of about 2 years I started seeing that my hair started falling out (thinning) I would say. For the first time I thought that it might have been a hereditary, however after looking at every person in my family blind line, no one had any hair receding. Therefore, I thought that my gel might be the cause for my problem. And to my surprise I was right, ever since I stopped using those cheap hair gels, my hair started slowly growing back. And at the current time I have got most of my hair back, although not most of it.

Hi,
I have asian hair... don't know if it matters. And I had gone to this one place where the guy was amazing. (Floyd's in College Park... named We (sp?). Anyways he had to leave and Floyd will not tell me where he went. And I was hoping someone who could tell me if they have him. (His Thai or Viet). Or any good hair dresser/cutter, who is creative and good with asian hair? Thank you.

P.S. I prefer moco, a bit of pg and DC.
