Hair - January 2007

I went to my hairdresser a while back cause I wanted some subtle aburn highlights in my dark brown hair. She said that to just do foils on it with the chosen shade wouldnt work. My hair is to dark to take the color. I wouldnt show up. So she bleached it and then put the color in. It looked great for a while but then the shade started fading out and now I just have blonde highlights. Which I dont want. Been there done that. Its growing out too and it looks bad. I want to know if I dye it a black brown color if it will take out all the bleached pieces and make it look better. More uniform and darker. I hate having these light pieces and want it back all one color. So will it work?

Everyone tells me that my hair looks great curly and i look cleaner I hate it curly. But when I straighten my hair it's longer but my ends like die but i like straight better. But I always where my hair up. U pick what should I do. My curly hair is like ringlets.

I blow dry it at night and it's fine but in the morning the hair near my face is full of static. I've tried hair gel, the Garnier frizz thing which is yukky oily on my hands, leave in conditioner and nothing works until I wake up, then I use hairspray or Mello Goo.

Alright, I'm 18 yrs old, I'm planning to get a haircut soon, currently I have thick, short-mediumish brown hair.

Please explain what will layered hair do, do I just ask for "layered hair" and will it work with 4-6 inch long hair? I just need full details, since I'm unsure about it and I want to try something new.

I got my hair relaxed about two weeks ago, but I didn't relax it enough. Now my roots look exactly how they looked before and my hair is coming out easily due to the fact not enough relaxer was used. The problem is I have dandruff and I need to wash my hair often but if I wash it try to comb an afro I know i'll probably lose alot more hair. I still have a month until my next relaxer. What should I do?

I have the CHI and it has always worked well but I think one with bristles like the MaxiGlide would be easier and work better.

I use a straightening iron, but the ends tend to curl as the day goes on.
Any tips on how to keep my hair straight througout the day?
I've just bought a straightening gel, but I have no idea how to use it. How do you use a straightening gel? And are straightening gels really effective for keeping your hair straight?

I'm thinking of buying some colourful hair extensions, something like blue and purple to go with my dark brown hair. I heard this is better for the hair than dying it because the colour never comes out bright enough.
Im going to get some clip on ones from ebay because the one from salons are too expensive.
But can any one tell me if their easy to put on? their not the ones that you glue on. Can I do it by myself and how easy are they to take off.
