I can't afford to get my hair done at the salon anymore but i want to go from brown to dark red.

My hair is naturally light brown, or strawberry blonde kind of,or dirty blonde. But I dye it black,and I've been for a long time.
How do I get my natural hair color back,without bleaching it?
I dont want to damage it, I used to bleach it a very long time ago,and I dont like bleaching it.. How do I do this? I'm confused..

my hair is long, dry, but oily at the roots. i need something that will moisturize my hair SOON and long lasting-ly moisturized. Money doesnt really matter, but not like 10000 a bottle. i flat iron and blow dry my hair. at least one if not both of those everyday, and i get highlights. what r good shampoos, conditioners, hair-masks, or products to help my hair? what can i use to tame my fly-aways? please dont suggest me any crap i can get at a drugstore, anddont be madcuase i just said that :] please and thank you :]

I personally love using hair extensions but it is really strange how almost every beauty supply store sells them but from whom are they getting all the hair. A friend questioned if the hair is removed form corpses just after they die. I have heard of people selling their hair but I can't imagine that many people are selling their hair to get the great quantities that are sold everyday, all over the world.

i got layers about a week ago and it seems that when i straighten it my hair curls up at the ends and it NEVER did that before. No matter how many times i run the flat iron thru it it keep curling. and my hair also seems thicker too for some reason. i've been thinking about getting it thinned with the razor but since i have naturally curly hair i heard that it's not good to get the razor cut. does anyone have any good tips?

i have long hair,it is about to the middle of my back.im about to dye it a light blonde on top and a dark purple underneath.I want to cut about three inches off to get rid of my dead end and such,but i also want a style cut.what would be a cute cut to get,especially with how im dying my hair.links to pics would be very helpful.thanks so much. =)

i spent years dying my hair, washing my hair everyday, getting a perm (even though i didn't need it), blow drying, straighting my hair with a flat iron, cheap shampoo, etc... so you could already imagine my hair. it never passed my shoulders well today my mom took me to the salon to cut my hair and the hair dresser cut all my damaged hair off and left the natural part off my hair, i love being natural but i miss the length of my hair. i was crying because i have only 3 inches left? and then my mother said"Charina if you keep crying your hair will never grow" is that true????
and can you give me hair growth tips. thank you all in advance and sorry that this is long.

Everyday I put it in a middle or low ponytail. It's about 2 1/2 in. past shoulder length, naturally super straight, and black. I don't have bangs.
I kind of have big eyes, too.

If you also want to suggest clothing, go right ahead!

So how should I do my hair tomorrow? Or whenever? I kind of want a change...people have been telling me that my hair (and I) look really pretty when it's down. (Lol I hope they don't mean that I'm usually ugly). Any suggestions?

I use a really lovely shampoo from my hairdresser and a conditioner to match - my daughter has really long hair. I always thought you put the shampoo on the top of your head, massage it in and let the water rinse it out down your hair, then you only put conditioner on the ends of your hair where it needs it and then wash it out? If you put it on the top of your head won't it mix with the natural oils in your hair and tend to look a little oily? My daughter has really long hair and I told her not to put it on top of her head - maybe I'm wrong... what works well for you?

I have really bad dandruff, I can wash my hair, moisturize my scalp, and the next day have really really bad dandruff. I've tried head and shoulders, t-gel, Dr. miracle, and other over the counter stuff, nothing works. Are there any home remedies, or any good products that will help?

Growing up with my father I never knew how to grow out my hair properly and playing sports i'd shower twice a day thus washing my hair . Most of the time I didn't even bother to use conditioner . As my hair got longer it's kind of wavy so i'd straigthen it every day without using anything to protect my hair . Now my hair is severly dry and feels like dry grass . I've been trying to restore it with deep moisturizing shampoos , conditioners and leave in conditioners . It feels softer but doesn't look much better . Sometimes I pull out a hair and it looks like a sound wave and feels very coarse . I've been treating my hair for about 6 weeks now and I can't say its improved much . I've cut down to washing my hair every other day as well . I've tried homemade deep conditioning treatments every now and then too . Is my hair too damaged to turn back? Do I need to shave it off and grow it back proplerly? Oh and when I straighten my hair now I use some creme that protects it from heat damage.

Ok so I have long straight hair. I used to be able to scrunch it with moose without the use of a dryer. Now its got longer and heaveir and my layers have almost reached the same length as my hair and it does not scrunch no matter how much i try it just falls out and looks a mess. I was thinking about getting a difuser but will it make much diffrence? Or do you think it will it be a big mess? thnx 2 whoever replys. xxx

I have very curly hair and L'Oreal just discontinued this gel that I have literally used for over 10 years! I don't know what to do b/c this stuff was the best gel I have been able to find and now they aren't making it anymore. Does anyone w/ curly hair have any recommendations for a new gel to try???
