Has anyone every used the MaxiGlide hair straightener AND the CHI? Which one is better?

I have the CHI and it has always worked well but I think one with bristles like the MaxiGlide would be easier and work better.

My daughter uses the Chi and it does really well on her hair which is naturally curly.
