I really want to have a good hairstyle. I want to know what to get for my hair and how to style it. I am tired of people thinking i'm a girl because of the way I have my hair. I want girls to see my hair and think it looks good. Pics appreciated. Any help please?

I'm an asian woman with thick coarse curly/wavey hair. I've chemically straightened it before(ionic straightening) but it always left my hair really dry and still look rough. I used to always straighten it with my own straightener and that would take me about an hour to get it nice and tame even at medium length. Does anybody have new suggestions for straightening ? What do native africans do for their hair maybe they have great tricks for straightening ?

Thanks -- Em

i shower and run water throug my hair everyday, but i only wash my hair with shampoo once a week. when i wash it it gets poofy and i don't like it ( i've tried products, but they don't help). my mom is always telling me to wash it because she says it smells. is their something that you can put in your hair to make it not smell(that isn't shampoo or conditioner) ? also is it bad to only wash your hair once a week?

Im not balding but I have natrally curly/frizzy hair and im always straightening it every two weeks..I was wondering if there was some sort of hair replacement surgery I could get to change the texture of my hair..I'd love to go swimming without having to control the poof just once in my life..I heard Janet Jackson had it done..

Please dont give me the "accept yourself speech" I will not listen, you will be wasting your time..You have no idea what my hair is really like..If u dont have the answer...Dont answer

I am losing a lot of Hair (around 40 - 50 strands a day). It might be the onset of MPB. I consulted a well known homeopathic chain here in India (Dr Batras) for slowing down the hair fall. Among other prescription they have asked me NOT to put any oil in hair.

I thought that oil is necessary for hair strength. Should i continue oiling my hair? I use olive oil once - twice a week.

I have really curly hair and i need something to "calm" it down. I kinda want something that is resonably priced. However, i do want something that actually works. Damage is also a factor, i know that ceramic plates really help with that, but i need help finding the perfect straightener. If anyone can help thanks!!!

I have waist length hair but it is very thin & will not hold a curl, I purchased a curly wig thinking I could wear it for a special occasion but its so obviously fake that I wouldnt even let my husband see it on me. The wig looked great on the model but on me it seems wayyy too thick & makes a completely even circle around my face which screams "wig", is there a way to thin a wig without messing it up? Is this normal or is it just because I'm so use to seeing my natural thin speghetti hair? It is very pretty but its just so thick & bulky...
Thanks

Okay, I have light brown hair, very boring, and honestly i think i look bad with that color. I really want to dye my hair for the first time, but i don't know if hair dye from the box would be a bad idea? Because i can't afford to get it professionaly done, so if i did want to dye my hair a darker color, i would use the box kind. What brand looks good and looks like you got it done professionaly? I have shiny, thin, straight, long, black hair. I'm so bored with it and would like to have a new look. I would like to have a permanent wavy or semi curly hair. My friends told me it would be better if I just use curling irons but it will be a lot of work if I do that everyday plus I'm not good in using curling irons. They are also saying permanent curls don't have the same results as good as curling iron does. What should I do? Could you also give me some good pictures or semi curly or wavy hair? Thanks

I have a round face, straight hair but looks thin, not voluminous. Hair length is little more than the shoulder length. I clip the hair on the top leaving the rest. Many of my friends complain that I have a boring look.. As I clip my hair tight my face looks very blown up.Pleats or a pony also doesn’t really go well. I badly need a make over. Someone please help me. Can any one suggest any parlor in Bangalore which is good for makeovers & off course should be reasonably priced?

About 4 months ago I had platinum foils put throughout my long brown hair, I didn’t want them anymore so ive been putting brown rinses through it ever since and using a shampoo that adds brown pigmentation. Only last week I dyed my hair with a Golden Brown Tone on Tone color to try and get rid of the Red tinge the foils still carry, but it washed out and now im still left with that stupid tinge. What can I do to fill in the color so it stops reappearing?

Like I said I have straight, thin to medium thick hair and an oval face shape.
I get compliments on my hair, but I want to at least trim it, if not cut many inches off. But I am afraid of my face looking too oval because my eyes are large in comparison to my lips.
I usually only have long layers and side bangs at the most. I'd like an updated, shorter style that's not drastically different.
Any and all suggestion are appreciated, and pictures are a great help!
Thanks.

I got my hair permed yesterday and now im getting tracks put in, the kind where you braid your whole head (except for the natural hair showing) and you sew the tracks in, but im afriad my hair might fall out because its too early to put in braids. But is it?
