Hair - December 2006

The hair on my head is a very dark brown, yet the hair in my beard has a significant red portion to it. Does anyone have any good answer for this? Only good scientific answers will be credited

I wanna keep my hair long. (It's very close to touching the bottom of my elbows, and the shortest I will have it is an inch or 2 below my shoulders.) I don't wanna layer it cuz I'm scared it will get frizzy. (my hair is kinda naturally wavy, but I straighten it). My parents won't let me get my hair dyed or get highlights, but that's ok cuz I like my hair color (reddish-brown). What should I do to it? thanks!

anybody have pics of thin hair that got layered? i have thin, fine, slippery smooth hair that wont stay in anything, but anyway thats a diff story, i am very seriously thinking about layering my hair, but i need proof that it will work with my type of thin hair b4 my mom will let me do it. When i come out of the shower or a bath or when i have washed my hair once its been dryed with a hair dryer it goes super frizzy and really wavy and boffy and i dont like so i usually straighten and that works but is there anyway to have your hair permanently straight even when you get out of the shower??

Im a strawberry blonde ( almost a ginger arghh i hate it lol ) and i wanted to colour my hair to a fairly lighter blonde but becasue of my hair colour already which would be better highlights or all fully dyed???

I have medium length, dark blone hair the is extremley thick.
It is kind of "jagged" in the front (almost like poorly cut layers) and I have these little "wings" at the bottom that swoosh out in all different directions.
What do you think would be a good haircut that may fix these problems?
And, for now, what might be a good hairstyle for my concert this evening (grade 8 select jazz choir, 40's and 50's music)

Hi, I'm looking for HAIR STYLES. Not what types of products I should get. I have a just bellow the shoulder hair length, with many layers and side bangs. My hair is unuasually frizzy, and I take care of that with ANTI-FRIZZ and CONDITIONAIRE but I need hair styles. I put my hair ina pony tail everyday and straighten my bangs and let them fall EVERYDAY. i have neither short or medium hair 1 to 1 1/2 inches of hair but the problem is that i was very very very smooth hair so it goes down if i dont use gel my hair will be in a shape of a tee-pee since it so smooth and a little of the top of like alfafa from that movie so thats why i use gel but it doesnt doesnt come out i dont like it long and i look wierd with real short i already tried that what should i do

If I want to color my hair darker brown with red tones (not extreme- I want natural as possible), is it possible for me to mix a reddish dye with my dark brown dye? Will this give me the results I want?

Or if any "miracle known vitamins or shampoos/conditioners work" I know that diet is the main key and not stressing all the time. I have baby fine hair a little past shoulder length. I would say that in one yr my hair only grew 2-3inches!!! My hair just sheds too much when brushing and I just dont know how I can tame it. Please help! And thank you! <^;^>

Right now the roots,crown and sides of my are are med. brown.Underneth is black (this is dye).Ive been dyeing my hair black for years and have never really done any other color.I have bleached my bangs blond before but I dont want that much blond in my hair.What color would look best with the black?I have green eyes and light olive-undertoned skin.Oh ya and I have always done my hair myself,I cut it and color it by myself,so im not going to a salon.If you know a color that would look good and know the brand name or color name please include that also.Thanks.
