Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide (thicker, may way hair down if used improperly-better for ethnic hair) or Chi Biosilk (lighter, goof proof). Both are thermal styling protection products that help to straighten your hair as it protects it from the damage of heat styling.

Also, a ceramic straightening iron will also aid in getting straighter hair with more professional results and less overall damage.

Paul Mitchell Super Skinny. You only need to apply one pump and you work it into wet hair. it works great and keeps my hair in fabulous condition and I blow dry and straighten my hair everyday. If your hair is hard to keep straightened and it looses its straightness after you are out in the weather or whatever spray some Redken hot sets before you straighten. It will also help protect your hair from the heat, and it keeps your style through just about anything.

Any good, not cheap spray that for thermal use. I use CHI Shine Infusion Polishing spray. It helps repair split ends, while eliminating frizz, and it protects the hair from thermal damage. (See link below)
