My friend is a hair dresser. When I have helped her move, or helped her throw a party, she says I owe you a free cut and color. When she does this, how much should I tip her? I feel bad cause I totally forgot the last time!

My favorite hair color that I had ever used was Garnier Lumia in Chestnut Petals....but I cannot find it anywhere in my town, do you know if they closed this line out? Or what equivalent to this color in another brand would be? Thanks--Jammie Girl

I have medium length hair with ugly waves in it. All I can really do is a Plain Jane ponytail.

Hello all,

I have been coloring my hair off an on at home for along time now I have used different brands from everything from Colorsilk to Feria, Nice'n Easy, Nutrisse etc....I recently got a new brand I have never tried....Revlon High Dimension Sultry Chestnuts in the color called Autumn...I was just wondering if anyone has any opinions of this color before I try it, also a question...amateur I know but just want to check--they say not to use it on hair that has been treated with metallic dyes....what kind of hair color brands typically have this metallic dye--Just curious and would it be ok to color over with this home color if I have used other brands?

I've tried curls, but the hairsprays too sticky, and otherwise fall out. bangs make me look like a 5th grader, ponytails cause too much frizz, and leaving it down makes it go flat, flat, flat.

I recently went to get my hair permanently straightened at a hair salon for about $130, but after a week or so, it reverted back to its original form (more or less). The hair lady said that it would last about 6 months to a year, but it hasn't even been a month yet and the effects have worn out!

Some people I know have paid $200-400 (Cdn) for this treatment and it works pretty well for them.

Are those reasonable prices?

It's like a pony tail, except it has a hole in the middle, where I'm assuming I put my ponty tail, and the hair is attached all around the perimeter. I've tried using an elastic hair band, but it seems to move too much. I'm trying to use it on top of my head, not in the back. Any suggestions?

My aunt goes 3 or 4 days with out washing her hair and it looks great still by the 4th day.....I however can not do that. I have to wash my hair every day or else it looks oily. But, they say its not healthy to wash it every day. So, how long do you go without washing yours?
