390 degrees. But it dries my hair out. ut it on about as cool as possibloe. id say 320

Get a Chi, it's a ceramic flat iron($90-$150). All flat irons will dry your hair, but the ceramic helps protect it some. Try the Chi Flat Iron Oil($12[more or less]).

I put mine on high even though it damages my hair, at least it makes it straight!
