Im an African-American female and just wanted to know if boxed perms are better for my hair than what a hair stylist might put on my hair. My hair stlyist said that boxed perms are bad for your hair and can dry it out and that her perms that she buys are better for my hair and won't dry it out. Which is better and why??

I know that no perms, irons, or rollers kind of eliminates most options for getting curly hair, but I'm looking for something simple I can do when I feel like wearing my hair curly. My hair is naturally wavy - I just want some more definition. I'm looking for ideas like wrapping a tshirt around damp hair - has anyone heard of that? I'd like to try it.

I'm a boy with curly hair and I heard L' oreal Studio Products are great. I want to know which L' oreal Studio Product will be best for my hair. My hair is frizzy and dry. The lenght of my hair is medium, not short or long. I want something that would make my hair stay wet all day, give it shine, make my curls soft, and frizzy free. after i shower{ maybe around 7-8 hours after} , i feel that my hair is oily again. i rinse my hair out until there are no bubbles in the water. I use herbal essence citruis, but occasionally i use philosophy shampoo without conditioner. what's wrong with my hair?What can i do to fix it?
