I'm copying what I wrote from the other thread about straightening. I have really thick, wavy hair as well and this works every time for me!
I use Remington Wet2Straight. You can use it on damp, wet or dry hair.
Usually what I do to get straight hair is I first use a smoothing serum on my hair, leave it in for 5 minutes and take a paddle brush and blowdry my hair. Then, I spray my hair with a heat-protection spray, put my top layer of hair in a clip and flatiron the bottom layer in 1-2" inch sections. After that, I take the top layer down and flatiron it the same way I did the bottom layer. Once I'm done with that, I use a straightening-lock spray (Dangerously Straight by Herbal Essences works wonders). Once I'm done, I spray my brush with the shine spray (about 8 inches away) and comb my hair. Good luck!

Theres a chemical straightening element you've gotten performed at your hairdresser, a woman I went to college with had rather frizzy hair that felt like dolls hair, then she had it performed and it became rather delicate afterwards, the down section tho is that through fact the hairdresser is with you all day it fairly is upwards of $600. it fairly is rather worth it tho because it lasts a on a similar time as, it rather is that in case you like an eternal answer, if it fairly is just one thing for anight out i could recommend washing your hair interior the morning and letting it dry needless to say (no hair dryer) and then getting a pal to straighten it so as that they are able to be certain the entire head, on a similar time as doing it you may desire to pull down as that flattens it extra, bypass over it a pair of time yet do not go away the straightener there for a on a similar time as so as that it smokes and your hair falls out. stable good fortune

Get a Chi or something for wet-dry straightener, and use a heat-activated straightening creme. wet your hair, blowdry, then use the straightener after putting creme throughout ends of hair. NOT ROOTS
