Do you use any other products in your hair? Gel, mousse, hairspray? Those could all cause that feeling. If you are a teen, there's a good chance that your hair really is a bit oily, and time may well fix that.

Also, if you are spending a lot of time outdoors in the city, air pollution could simply be making your hair dirty. At any rate, if it still looks nice, don't worry about it, or choose a shampoo and conditioner for oily hair.

(I said something dumb in your question about closets. I realized later it sounded cruel. I deleted it, and I apologize.)

Use a shampoo made for oily hair and only condition the very tips of your ends.

Don't use any kind of shampoo tha says moisture enriched. So that means don't use those expensive brands. Try White Rain. Make sure you look at the label and it should say for oily or limp hair.

because I have a little native in me I tended to have oily hair also if you are young that might play a role but I found that if I didn't use conditioner and that if I shampooed my hair twice in each shower session it helped

For sure don't use any conditioner. Brushing your hair each day 100 strokes with a natural bristle brush will help to distribute the oil and condition your scalp so it produces less oil.Hope that helps.
