Everytime I straighten my hair it still looks a bit frizzy. I have natural straight hair with a slight wave to it, which i hate. I see alot of girls with smooth soft shiny straight hair and i can never look like that. I'm not trying to follow the crowd, I just want my hair to look nicer. Any suggestions?

I have short, curly-to-wavy hair, & some people say it looks ok, & others say it looks very stupid. I must admit...my hair is stubborn, trying to lay down. I try to slick it down with thick gel & water, but it only works for a few minutes & then poofs back up.

So I got my hair layered yesterday. It isn't majorly layered, but there are 3 different layers (all long enough to go into a ponytail). When I got home from the hairdressers, of course it looked all nice and everything. Today I was looking in the mirror and you can't really tell that it's layered. So I have a few questions.

1. How can I make the layers stand out? (Curling iron, blowdryer, etc. and how to do them)
2. Any good and simple hairstyles that work well with layers?
3. What's the best way to braid hair when layered? Braid it, then use hairspray?
4. Also, I have picture day for HS on Tuesday. What would look nice?

this is my first year straightening my hair. & tuesday is my first day i have to dress out for PE when you run or play sports in PE does your hair get all messed up and curly again.

I have wavy hair and even if I straighten it and spray it, it always gets curly again. It's mostly my bangs (they are side bangs and I am growing them out.) But it looks way better straightened. Does anyone have any suggestions to help keep it straight throughtout the day?

Oh and I have problems with frizz too so if you have any suggestions for that, they're appreciated too. =]

i have short brown hair and i wanted to dye my hair useing loreal couleur experte...but my hair came out looking fn orange!!!!! not the fabulous 3.5 warm chocolate mousse darkest mahogany brow.! it shows on the box : / http://www.couleurexperte.com to look up the color im talking about.. why do you think it came out orange? i went on the website watched watched a video demonstration on using Couleur Experte, just so I didn't screw it up. The first half of the process went pretty well. I washed it out and it looked — dark brown. I expected the base color to be a as red,or redder,than my current hair color. <<(the high lighting part?)
