rub ice over it to make it hard and then pull the gum off.
if that doesn't work, use peanut butter, mayonnaise, or regular butter, the oils/fat can help loosen the gum, then comb it out
if worst comes to worst, try WD40 -- it's toxic though

It worked for me. Both of them did, I know it's devastating to loose hair when you're a girl. Hope this information helps you! :-D

I raised 19 children and can tell you that nothing works better than penut butter. let it sit for about 5 minutes and the oils will help not only loosen the gum but actually break it down some.

Ice is the best way. You freeze it and make it hard and break it out. That is the fastest and cheapest way. There is a chemical that dissolves the gum but it is very harsh on your hair. You can get it at the drug store.

try putting some kerosene because kerosene gas has something in it that makes gums not sticky. don't put much, just enough to rub off the gum. it is effective. afterwards, you may wash your hair to remove the smell.
have someone help you with it. :)
be safe.

Try peanut butter. Lots of my friends use it. If that doesn't work try more oily things.
