No, it doesn;t make it grow faster, but it keeps it healthier so that there is less damage and breakage. Get it trimmed every 6 -8 weeks and your hair will continue to grow and look good.

It sure does. And if you trim it w/ the moon that makes a difference too. If you trim when the moon is growing it'll grow faster, but if you trim after a full moon, it doesn't grow as fast. It sounds a bit crazy but it really works. I wanted to grow my hair out for my wedding and by doing this it grew way faster. Just make sure it's a trim and not a cut. You should only do less than 1/2 an inch if you're wanting to grow it out.

No hair grows at the same rate, but differently on different people, and hair does grow faster in the summer than in the winter. When you trim your hair, you cut off the damaged ends, making it look thicker. There are diet changes you can do to make sure your body gets what it needs to grow hair. Good luck!

No it does not make your hair grow faster. The part of the hair folicle that is alive and growing is in the scalp. If you trim the ends - - -your just trimming the dead part & split ends. It will have no affect on how fast your hair grows.

NO!! Trimming gets the split ends off. Split ends cause your hair to break off and the ends just keep splitting. About 1/2-1inch should be trimmed.

im not sure, i think it wont really make a huge difference but it reduces split ends. then the hair is healthier so it grows faster... so i guess in the long run it does help.

I think that it doesn't. But people think that it does (especially girls) as when you want your hair to grow it seems to take ages and ages, but if you want to keep it the same length and get it cut, it doesn't really feel that long before it needs cut again. :)

I agree with Islandgirl3. This is very much what I would've told you. Incidentally, are you aware that hair is dead? Only the hair root is living.
