Can anyone tell me any helpful information about the dramatic theories of Peter Brook?

I've googled him, but haven't found anything particularly useful. Also, I'm reading his book "The Empty Space".

Any information would be apreciated. Thanks!

I am very very in need of some help. I am a KID-teenage male tenor-soprano. I need something that is not too hard, kinda popular, not something like "bring him home" from les miz(i am only 13). or not something like "Ten Minutes ago" from cinderella(that is too dull and easy). A cool example song is "Dancing Through Life" from wicked(not this song though).

I need any suggestions. GOOD Suggestions.

PLEASE!!!!!!!

anything from "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" to Wicked.

AND PLEASE DO NOT SUGGESTION ANYTHING FROM LES'MIZ, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, HANNAH MONTANA, USA NATIONAL ANTHEM.

SO sorry if I sound rude. I am getting really worried now. This is my 5th time looking for help on here. And so far i've only gotten advice for REALLY REALLY hard songs.
Or pointless songs from hannah montana.

Thank you SO much to anyone who is willing to REALLY help me.!

I am an aspiring movie maker and want to study at the New York Film Academy in New York as oppose to any of there numerous other bases.I am poor and at present cannot afford there 40 thousand dollar program. I cannot obtain a visa to work in the USA because I am Eighteen and thus unskilled labour. So I am working on scripts with the hope that I sell them to fund my education. I am working on a low budget comedy that I would be set to star in and most likely produce with the NYFA team. If one of my scripts was to be sold by joining the writers guild etc how much could I expect to earn and would it be a one off fee? I realise this is a broad question but I need rough estimates and help

I direct theatre at a small high school and I'm really having trouble finding a show to do for next year. I've done drama the last two years - I'm looking for a slapstick contemporary comedy, preferably one that features girls. We did The Foreigner by Larry Shue three years ago - that was amazing - something similar to that show would be perfect. Any ideas??

I live in gainesville. I'm turning 13 this year. I want to do alot of things, but I would really like to start acting professionally. I learned from an anime on Adult Swim recently, that my friend encoraged me to watch, a quote: "You can't just wait and beg, if you want something, you have to do it yourself." Although in that case it was some kid jumping off a cliff with a hoverboard... Anyway, that sort of inspired me, because I've just been sort of sitting around, IMAGINING myself this big movie star... And it's not helping. There's that one girl Annasophia Robb, from Bridge to Terrabythia, and she really kicked me into gear. I read her little "about me" thing, and I noticed that she was already rich to begin with, talking about her 'agent'. That pissed me off. I think I can act just as good, if better, than her. I want to go big time! I'm talking LA! I'm not rich though. So can somebody tip me off with an idea here?

Okay this is really two questions in one, so please answer both.

1. What are some good plays for a theatre group to do for a summer workshop for kids between the ages of 13-16? Please not that the play must not have any swearing or other bad stuff in it and it should be about an hour to an hour and a half long.

2. When you audition for a part, how do you show the director that you are seroius about a certain role? Also, to show that you don't want a role, should you just bomb it on the other roles you are asked to read for?
Ex. Say you want to be a lead in a play. You are asked to read for the lead and other minor parts in it. Should you bomb it on the other parts? And how do you show that you are seroius about wanting to be a certain part?

I'm in a auditioned musical theatre program offered at my school. This year we're preforming the musical Grease, and in a week and a half we have our in-class auditions for the show. I need a good song from a musical (my teacher does not count disney movies as musicals), that will be easy to learn and fit my range ( about a low C to a high A). Also my teachers are big on characterization so I need something that can portray the characteristics of either of the roles I want (either Sandy or Marty). Also we're not allowed to sing anything from Grease, and I'll be preforming unaccompanied. Thanks.
