Yes this is an amateur version of the show and not one that's running in the West End /touring version.

Also as far as i can tell the company found out about me via a website that I contribute to. I don't think that they have seen me perform and don't know how I look. However that might not be a problem with costumes/wigs etc.

go for it and enjoy it, you'll only wish you had done it if you turn it down!

TAKE IT! I would. If you are not sure whether you will get the Robin Hood part, go with what you have already been offered. As an actor, I certainly wouldn't turn down a lead role on the off-chance of getting another.

Go for it, it'll be more more fun than Robin Hood. Who knows, you may even get some free tickets to see the West End show out of it!

i would certainly encourage you but offer this to remember. buddy holly was a geek in appearance with a tremendous songwriting talent and an understated talented voice. gary busey did a good job in the movie. this is not just another acting job. if you research the
work busey did for the movie you might get some insight into
what's involved to making "this one" work for you. good luck and
break a leg.

can i ask why not? These sorts of parts i would have thought are exactly what you would aim for, or am i wrong? Are you just nervous of taking a lead role or the heavy workload involved? Give it a shot and see what happens, you can only live and learn!

Maybe you should tell everyone that it's only a church hall production first. I happen to know there not replacing the lead in the west end.

It sometimes better to hold out for what you really want but if leads our normally hard to come by for you make the best of the oppurtunity. Don't forget if your the lead your the man! you make the show.
