I am very very in need of some help. I am a KID-teenage male tenor-soprano. I need something that is not too hard, kinda popular, not something like "bring him home" from les miz(i am only 13). or not something like "Ten Minutes ago" from cinderella(that is too dull and easy). A cool example song is "Dancing Through Life" from wicked(not this song though).

I need any suggestions. GOOD Suggestions.

PLEASE!!!!!!!

anything from "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" to Wicked.

AND PLEASE DO NOT SUGGESTION ANYTHING FROM LES'MIZ, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, HANNAH MONTANA, USA NATIONAL ANTHEM.

SO sorry if I sound rude. I am getting really worried now. This is my 5th time looking for help on here. And so far i've only gotten advice for REALLY REALLY hard songs.
Or pointless songs from hannah montana.

Thank you SO much to anyone who is willing to REALLY help me.!

Springtime for Hitler

or is it Hitler in Springtime... one of the two.

It's a hilarious song from a hilarious play, but it gives good vocal range and does take a little skill but will be humerous enough that if you mess up you can play it off as intentional. Take a look at it, I think you'll be happy with it.

*EDIT*
Just to be fair, don't hate it because it says Hitler in there. If you don't know the song or the play, you can't give me an honest assessment on the thumbs up or down, now can you?

Audition selections are very important. I also sometimes struggle with choosing the right song. I have a few recommendations for you...

Sixteen Going on Seventeen - Great Audition Piece ( I used it for my last audition)

In My Own Little Corner - you can really show off your acting skills with that one.

Wouldn't it Be Loverly - Not very many people do that one and the judges will be impressed with your selection

I Could of Danced all Night - another one like wouldn't it be loverly.

Those are just a few selections that could work. I recommend not doing anything from wicked. many people use selections from Wicked and they are over used.

whatever your song choice I hope you do a great job.

I cast alot of shows and have sat in on so many musical theater audition workshops... There is a trick to it.

Surprise them,
stand out and literally act your heart out while singing.

Your presence is almost more important then your song.

SO, with that being said...what song do you think you could pull off? Mr. Cellophane is often used and it so easy to play around with. Also another great option would be something from INTO THE WOODS or THREE PENNY OPERA. look in to anything by kander and ebb.

Then i also you corner of the sky from pippin, and sweet summer evenings frm pippin. Another good one is go the distance from hercules, yu may have to change the key, i know i had to change it to d major, Good luck.

I don' t have any specific songs, but remember to choose something that will show off your talent. Something that matched your range and the timbre of your voice. Don't necessarily go for something because it's popular. If it's too well known, then your audience will be able to pick up on even small errors. Less known and good for your voice = less noticable mistakes. Good luck!
