Part of the reason Allan Strang can't have sex in his sex scene is that his "gods" the Equus are watching.
Allan has a personal relationship with one of the horses, and in recounting a midnight ride to his psychiatrist, in the midst of the ride he seems to have an orgasm, or at the very least its emotional equivalent.
If emotional rapture is the same as sex, then yes, Allan has sex on stage.

No sex. He goes to the stable with the girl, and they're GOING to have sex, but that's when Alan freaks out and blinds the horses with the hoof-pick...he thinks they're LOOKING at him.

If memory serves, he almost has sex in the stable, but is distracted by the horses watching (and judging) him.
