Hey guys, I was wondering if you could help me. Basically ive never had an agent before, but still had roles in short films and background extra jobs. What contact infomation would you put on a cover letter? As i am told home addresses and telephone numbers are un professional? Im not too sure.

im at university at the moment but for a long time ive really wantd to get into acting. I used to take lessons a few years ago and i was told by quite a few people i had definate potential. Im living in london and am lost where to start. Ideally i would like to find an agent or go to som castings.. but im unsure how you go about dong that. any help or advice would be great :) thanksxx

I am a junior in high school and need to start looking into colleges and would really like to go to a good school for theatre. I live in Missouri and would like to stay at least within the state and the surrounding states so I'm not too far from home. I am mostly interested in acting but would also like to have the opportunity to take classes in singing and dancing. I want to go to a smaler college with a lot of personal attention and small classes. If anyone knows of any good schools or could direct me to websites with ranking lists for these types of schools I would really appreciate it!

I was watchig the Grease auditions for the play, if you have watched it, or are watching this answer my question. Their was aguy auditining for Danny. He while auditining was going to try to imitate Judy Garland. If you watched it, do you agree with me that he sounded NoTHING like Judy.

hi everyone, i was a bit confused so i am asking here. thx in advance for reading this. so i am 16 now. and i really want to become an actor in my life. but i don't want to go to producers to ask them for work, most chances will be denial, as no experience(too late for it now), probably never heard of me. i also don't want to join hollywood, i want to make good clean movies, no nudity and so on. so i am thinking that when i am 29 or above, should i start making my own and play the lead? will that be possible? i know it will be shitty, but that's how you improve, nearly all the actors first face defeat then they become good and then better. money is not the problem. does anyone know what is the process. is it possible to direct ur own movies while acting in them? how do you get them cameras, can't just go in a shop. do u have to register ur film? ur profile?music, sound effects, cgi, how does this all work. i don't want to go to any producers or agents. i will try to act. please reply.

I'm thirteen and I live in the suburbs Chicago. I'm looking for performance opportunities: theatrical or voice-related. I'm also looking for a voice teacher, so if anyone knows the name of a teacher in Long Grove, Buffalo Grove, or Lincolnshire that would be great. A teacher near any of those towns would probably be okay, it all depends on the distance from my house. As for theater, I'm open to anything, whether auditions are required or not. I have extremely limited dance experience, though. Thanks!
