How do I find out when and where auditions are held for movies?

Pick up a copy of Back Stage or Back Stage West, depending on where you live. Up-to-date casting notices are posted in every issue.

Caveat: The notices you'll find are almost always for small films, made by people you've never heard of, who will probably not have enough (or any) money to pay you with. But this is how you get started.

By the way...don't listen to all these people who are telling you to get an agent. When you're just starting out, you can be your own agent. Build a good solid resume, take some classes with teachers who have good reputations within the business, and then, maybe a few years down the road perhaps, an agent will express interest in working with you.

Unless you have a Talent Agent, you won't know when and where auditions, for movies, are being held.

You will only find scams online.

Subscribe to a trade publication, like Variety or The Hollywood Reporter.

Yeah, get an agent. You won't get far without one. I hope you also studied acting or singing at some point and have a good resume.
