I would really like to pursue acting, and I don't know how it works. I'm a really good actor. Unfortunately, I don't have "qualified experience" like drama and acting classes. I do know I CAN act throughout my life experiences. I also have lots of different talents. But I don't know a few things.

1. What do they look for?
2. How do I go about getting an agent?
3. Am I even looking in the right direction?

Can somebody please tell me how the industry works? Like...what to do and other things.

Thank you!

my class is going to perform a sketch next month. we now have nothing on minds and need the storyline, dialogue, plot and so on. it should be a simple sketch, ie no special effect, and yet amusing to catch everyone's attention.

I need a name for a play about two brothers during the American Civil War, where one supports the Union, and one supports the Confederecy. The Union brother kills his rebel brother. Then he is killed by his brothers friend. Basically this play is about 2 brothers who hate each other during the civil war and end up killing each other for what they believe in. In English we had to write plays about human conflict. My group and I have the play written but we need a title for it.Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

It used to be reserved for actors of great talent to receive a star, today lots of so called personalities can buy their way in, to think that Donald Trump has earned the right to be in the Company of John Wayne, Cary Cooper, Judy Garland and so many more incredible talents is unjust. To be rich is not an artistic talent.

a whole new theater in a town 20 miles away but it would defininitly compete with your theater for audience members and volunteers. ...We're talking small towns here folks.

e against it? I'm interested because I want to be involved in theater in our area and help improve the quality of the arts in the area...not limited to doing a great job at just one theater.

Know how it's forbidden to utter the word "Macbeth" within the walls of a theatre? But, in that case, what about the name in the play? Don't the actors have to call the main character "Macbeth"? How do they wriggle out of it? Incidentally, I doubt that the crowd at the theatre would comply either - somebody's bound to say it, at least accidentally. Isn't this whole superstition pointless? Or is there an explanation for that?
