I can't find anything in the Madison, Wisconsin area. I want to find a small little part for the Overture Center or something.... I'm only 13 and I want to become an actress.... Where do I start besides just taking classes?

It's been a while since I was last in Wisconsin, so I can't remember how far Madison is from Wauwatosa... but here's the Web page for the Wisconsin chapter of the American Association of Community Theaters, located in Wauwatosa:

If your school doesn't have a drama program, talk to the administrators about forming an after-school drama club. And network -- if there's a professional theater group near you (is that the Overture Center?), contact them and see if they can use volunteers (oh, right, theater groups are SO well funded they NEVER need volunteers :-). You might only get to hand out playbills on performance nights or take tickets or something, but you'd be involved, and you'd be around people who are active in theater. They'll have a better idea about community-theater organizations, performing-arts guilds, and other opportunities for you to get involved with people who can put you on the stage.

Your best bet is to do drama at school or a community college/jr. college. If your extremely serious start looking for agents in New York or LA and ask your parents about moving. If you do end up moving the best place to go is LA because you have oppurtunities as a theatre actress and film it all depends on what you want to do. Also I live in LA so if you need help in anything message me.

start your own group of young actors and actresses and writers and directors, get a script if you cannot write one and rehearse and put on a play. get all young teens and below to be in it.
( get all the kids together and put on a show.)
charge admission and get some publicity. do not wait for the growups to give you a shot. make your own luck. be pro-active.
it will be a blast and you will get ten times more experience than if you just got a bit part as a kid in a grownup play.
sell snacks at the play. make lemonade and cookies. people will love it. Let the kids all play grownups like those kids did in their own ganster movie that time.

There should be a community theatre group in your area. Some communities have special youth groups, and other welcome all ages, depending on the show. You might also look into local colleges. Call the theatre departments and see if any of them have productions where casting calls are open to the public. Then all you have to do is audition.

Madison, Wisconsin should be big enough to have several community theaters or little theaters. Check those out and see what you can find.

try the community college theater; check out the town website; check out the university theaters; sometimes they have roles for younger people.
also, try to get your school involved with the bellermaine speech league
