Theater & Acting - January 2007

I'm organizing a Recognition Dinner for about 125 people. Each year we have a fun theme. This time we'd like to do an interactive mystery evening - but no murders ( this is for Hospice volunteers and we already deal with enough death). Any help out there for resources, planning ideas? (none of us are in the theater so this is a real stretch).
Thanks for any help!

It could be like Les Mis, where the show is about France, or it could be a song like C'est Moi (Camelot) which is in French. It could even be like I Speak Six Languages (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee)

In theatre arts, my teachers scolded me about my physicality, the way I stand. They always tell me that I am only acting from the neck up. I'm not a heavy person, I'm just average so it isn't weight causing me to do that. What are some acting excersizes I can do to work on it? We are going to be working on that next semester, but I want to get a head start and impress them. Anyone have any tips for improving physicality?

Does anybody know why Shakespare includes a scene (Act 4 Scene 3) showing the relationship between Lady Macduff and her children?

And

Seeing as how this is the first murder committed on stage what effect does it have on the audience?

Why do you think shakespare deems it necessary to create this effect at this particular point in the play?
