Avoid Milk, sugary drinks and cough sweets and ANYTHING MINTY - they all interfere with your throat and can affect your voice. Water is always the safest bet. The best way to keep your throat supple is to suck a boiled sweet while you wait and drink water. (Though the water and the nerves will make you want to pee!!)
It is fine to sing a Non-Broadway song. The directors want to hear what your voice can do. Choose a song that you are comfortable with and is in your vocal range. Don't try and pick something you think they want to hear - THEY WANT TO HEAR YOU!!
Focus your nerves - remember you will be nervous on opening night once you get the part but that nervous energy will help you give the best performance. Make sure that you focus your nerves the same way in the audition.
Be polite, be confident and be prepared. Don't go in unsure of your song. Learn it well and remember you may well not need to sing the whole thing - so choose a song with a great START that you can deliver to perfection!
Best of luck!

You should use a broadway song. That is pretty much the way things work. However, if you are very attached to a song that is not "broadway", why don't you call the theatre and ask if it is acceptable to sing a non-broadway song. Make sure you drink WATER! I can't say I found any particular drink to pose a problem, don't drink anything you think might mess up your voice/throat, though. You know yourself better than any of us. GOOD LUCK and just relax! Break a leg!

All the above answers are great, but there is one thing they've all left out, possibly because it didn't occur to you to ask it. Besides what you drink, what you eat for the last couple of hours before your audition can also affect your performance. Avoid anything that you have noticed causes phlegm to develop in your mouth and throat. That can be different things for different people, only you know what you've noticed. For me, for example, I have to stay away from chocolate bars for at least three hours before an audition or performance.
Break a leg, darlin', and let us know how you did.

sing a song that you know really well and are comfortable singing. as for the drinks stay away from soda and anything else carbonated. Just be yourself and show the judges who you are through your performance. break-a-leg ( I to have an audition comming up tomorrow :-P)
